ROOMS DISCLAIMER

The Bay carries out regular improvements to its existing accommodation and therefore room facilities and/or room layout of the reserved room may be different from the displayed photos.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

Check-in: 14h00
Check-out: noon latest (failure to do so shall result in The Client being billed for one extra night.)

COMPLIANCE WITH ROOM OCCUPANCY

Upon reservation, The Client agrees to comply strictly with the room occupancy description featured on the website in respect of the maximum number of persons that can occupy the specific room at any one time. The Client also agrees to respect the booked room occupancy at the time he/she confirmed his reservation.

USE OF ROOMS

The room shall be for the exclusive use of The Client.

The Client agrees and accepts to use the room responsibly. Any behaviour contrary to laws, good morals and/or public order will result in The Bay asking the room to be vacated and The Client having to leave the premises. In such case no compensation nor reimbursement shall be made by The Bay. The Bay shall also not be responsible for any damages nor prejudice if any. This will be applicable automatically and as of right, without The Bay having to fulfil any judicial or extra-judicial formality.

REGISTRATION FORMS

At the time of check-in, The Client will be requested to fill in and sign a registration form on his arrival at The Bay.

PAYMENT & CREDIT CARD INFORMATION

To confirm your room reservation, you will be asked to proceed with the payment of a 100% deposit. Kindly note that we currently accept the following payment methods:

  • VISA, MASTERCARD: EURO & MUR
  • Bank transfer: EURO & MUR

To secure online payments The Bay’s website uses the internationally recognized ADYEN secure payment system, which incorporates the SSL (Secure Locket Layer) security protocol.

Adyen (AMS: ADYEN) is since 2006 the payments platform of choice for many of the world’s leading companies, providing a modern end-to-end infrastructure connecting directly to Visa, Mastercard, and consumers' globally preferred payment methods. With offices across the world, Adyen serves customers including Uber, Spotify, Casper, Bonobos and L'Oreal.

Kindly note that making an online payment implies that you are fully authorized to use the bank card provided for payment and that you have enough funds to cover the total cost of the transaction.

For all transactions, payment of the booking shall constitute signature and express acceptance of the sale with all that is included in the price.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKING

All prices listed on this website are in EURO/MUR.

Cancellations will not be processed unless we receive an official cancellation request by mail on reserva-tion@thebay.mu. After you have cancelled a booking, you will receive an email to confirm your cancellation at the e-mail ad-dress you provided at the time of booking.

To prevent any fraud, refunds (when applicable) will only be made to the credit card used to secure the original booking. Any booking /bank and/or credit card charges applied will be at The Client’s cost.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION DETAILS

Semi-Flexible offer:

Deposit: 100% of the total amount due will be required to confirm and secure your booking

Cancellation depends of the Semi-Flexible offer you booked:

  • Cancellation policy 1: No cancellation fee if cancelled at least 15 days before your date of arrival.
    Cancellations as from 14 days prior to arrival: 100% of the amount deposit will be charged
  • Cancellation policy 2: No cancellation fee if cancelled at least 30 days before your date of arrival.
    Cancellations as from 30 days prior to arrival: 100% of the amount deposit will be charged

No show: 100% of the amount deposit will be charged
Unexpected departures: no refund for nights booked

Non-Refundable offer:

Deposit: 100% of the total amount due will be required to confirm and secure your booking
Cancellation: No refund for nights booked
No show: 100% of the amount deposit will be charged
Unexpected departures: no refund for nights booked

APPLICABLE PROCEDURE IN CASE OF FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANC-ES (INCLUDING CYCLONES)

NO SHOW :
In case of a “no show” The Bay will charge a 100% cancellation fee.

DELAYS / EXTENSIONS OF STAYS:

  • Clients arriving on delayed flights but leaving on scheduled date of departure: The Bay will charge the whole stay with no compensation.
  • Clients arriving on delayed flights but spending the number of nights originally booked at The Bay (i.e. delay = extension): The Bay will charge for the whole stay with no compensation.
  • Clients arriving on scheduled date but extending their stay at The Bay due to non-operating flights: The Bay will charge the extra nights at the same rate as the ones The Client booked at the moment he/she confirmed the reservation. This is to be paid directly at The Bay upon the moment The Guest decides to extend.

RESERVATION

Kindly note that prices displayed on our website are subject to change during the season and may differ from prices published elsewhere. When using our website, you accept that prices published elsewhere may differ from yours at the time of booking.

Subject to our confirmation, and to your provision of valid and correct credit card details for payment, your reservation will be irrevocably binding upon your clicking on “Confirm” on our website.

As we will send you a confirmation of your reservation by email, it is your duty to provide us with an accu-rate email address. Such confirmation will usually be made within 48 business hours after you submitted your reservation. If your reservation is not accepted, we will make every effort to provide you with a comparable alternative, which you are free to accept or decline. Our confirmation email will serve as proof of valid reservation and will contain relevant information about the reservation. If you do not receive such confirmation, please notify us by e-mail at reservation@thebay.mu.

Please read and check carefully all the information contained in our confirmation email to ensure that it con-forms to your reservation. You are required to present our confirmation email when checking-in at The Bay, in addition to a valid passport.
